Privacy Notice

This notice explains what information Vfane collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it. Vfane is a free online marketplace that connects Houston-area homeowners with residential roofing contractors.

From homeowners:

• Email address (for your account)
• Project details you share during the matching process: type of work, urgency, and zip code
• Your activity on the platform (which steps you complete in the matching flow)
• Reviews you submit about contractors

From contractors:

• Business name, contact information, specialties, and service area
• Portfolio photos and profile content you upload
• Certificate of Insurance (COI) documents for General Liability and Workers' Compensation verification
• Any other information you provide when claiming your profile

Automatically:

• Basic technical data needed to operate the website (such as browser type and page visits). We do not use advertising trackers.

We use your information for one purpose: to match homeowners with contractors and compute Trust Scores. We do not sell your data. We do not rent it. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it for any purpose other than operating Vfane.

• Homeowner project details: Only visible to Vfane and to contractors who receive a matched lead. Contractors see project type, urgency, and general location — not your name, email, or address.
• Contractor profiles: Public. Anyone can view your business name, Trust Score, specialties, service area, portfolio photos, and reviews.
• COI documents: Private. Only Vfane's admin reviews these.
• Email addresses: Private. Not displayed publicly.

Your data is stored on Supabase, a cloud database platform with built-in access controls. We use Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access data they are authorized to see. We do not use third-party analytics services, advertising trackers, or social media tracking tools.

You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by emailing us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. For contractors, uploaded documents (including COI files) will be deleted within 90 days of account closure.

If we become aware of a data breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify you as required by Texas law (Texas Business & Commerce Code Section 521).

Vfane is not designed for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the platform.
